It Became Law (July)
Good news everyone! The state government will continue to fund itself. With North Carolina’s budget shortfall forcing the legislature to implement efficiency where it can, our government begins the process of removing “gender” from its General Statues. This will lead to leaner, faster and more androgynous government. While combing back over the statues, why not be sure to address disabled citizens as “people” first instead of their particular handicap. I, however doubt there is text referring to some persons as “wheelchairies”. The My Space lobby offers an unbeatable lunch buffet for law makers as Social Networking Sites will now get liability protection if they at least make an effort to keep the sex offenders away. Finally, on an issue that has plagued our state for long enough, the “Truth in Music Act” becomes law. We are finally safe from going out to see The Octopus Project and getting a bunch of nobodies standing in.
